2014 SCHOOL SUPPLIES FROM NIKKI JOHNSON-POOLE

49 Morristown youth ranging in age from pre-K to 11th grade were supplied with school supplies at the library Saturday morning free of charge.  Nikki Johnson-Poole of Unionville, CT has been collecting book bags, binders, notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, glue, crayons, protractors, colored pencils and MORE for almost a year in order to sponsor this special program.  She is an extreme couponer and philanthropist at heart.  Her mother Kandi and grandmother Kathy live in Morristown and had the very fun job of distributing these supplies.

MORE WONDERFUL SCIENCE AT THE MPL!

Mia Brunette produced today's two experiments with (a little) help from her Grandpa, Greg Brunette.  We each saw (with our very own eyes) how temperature fluctuations move air and create wind!  In her second experiment we saw how salt changes the density of water.  Wow, Mia - you are a super scientist, for sure!  To see the entire photo album from today's group be sure to visit us on Facebook.

SOCK ROCKERZ CONCERT AND PIZZA PARTY

What a great show!  Thank you Natalie and Ella for visiting Morristown - it was certainly a pleasure to have you here.  I had so much fun and I think the rest of the 50 in attendance did as well.

Thank you to everyone who came and helped make this special show the great success that it was, especially Board President Maggie Whalen for picking up the 15 pizzas and drinks!
