Congratulations to all of our winners in this years fine art festival.  It was an exceptional turnout of artists, paintings, collectors and friends.  We are very proud to say that the library sold 56% of the paintings in the three-hour show!  Artists please look for our 2018 online application on the website in February as the 30 seats fill quickly.

The Helping Hands Garden Club took advantage of the dry weather and painted their 2017 "hands" onto the garden bed today.  Just look at the beautiful vegetables that they are learning how to grow.  This group is free, family-friendly and open to the public - please consider joining their ranks!

You know it's going to be a great day when it starts with a surprise visit from a local author AND he has brought a gift copy of his last book in the Upcountry Series, "The Beginning Game". Thank you, Rick Doyon for popping in and also for sharing the news that you are working with Hollywood producers on a screenplay. We can't wait to see who the director casts.

Thank you to everyone who turned out in support of the library.  We are very pleased to announce that our request of an additional $3,000 was approved by 72%!  It means a great deal to us that the people of Morristown support the library's mission of providing access to the world of information, social and cultural ideas to the community.  Be sure to check out our calendar for upcoming events!

So you've heard of a Cookie Exchange, right?  Well, this is a Plant Exchange!  Library Trustee Lisa Ditta came up with this fabulous idea when she was doing her Spring yardwork.  She has extra plants to offer, and maybe you do as well.  If so, please bring your extra plants that you would be interested in trading to the library in labeled containers.  We'll have the picnic table out front for you to leave them.  If you bring two plants you are welcome to take two of someone elses, just like a cookie exchange.  What a great idea, Lisa!
